This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Provide scientific and medical leadership to cultivate credible relationships with key thought leaders and external experts.

• Establish a robust medical and scientific presence for Abbott Diabetes Care in prominent academic institutions by promoting research and educational initiatives.

• Assist in fulfilling requests for medical and scientific information regarding products and therapeutic domains.

• Collaborate with other in-field team members while maintaining functional independence.

• Act as a medical and scientific affairs liaison for thought leaders and external experts within the designated geographic region.

• Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare providers, either individually or in groups, with an emphasis on Tier 1 and 2 thought leaders.

• Engage in the selection of qualified thought leaders for educational and advisory partnerships, including Advisory Boards, Congresses, and Symposia.

• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences.

• Work with internal stakeholders to create summaries of essential data and scientifically relevant information.

• Represent the Medical Affairs division at exhibit booths during national scientific meetings and congresses.

• Provide scientific and technical assistance for scientific or medical publications.

• Ensure that all activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and accepted best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health sciences discipline.

• An advanced degree is necessary, such as PharmD, MD/DO, NP/DNP, PA, or PhD, in a pertinent scientific field.

• Licensure/Board Certification is mandatory.

• Current and relevant clinical licensure and board certification, such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, or Pharmacist, in accordance with state and/or national regulations.

• Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is strongly preferred.

• Capability to cover territories in Maryland, Washington DC, and Delaware.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
