Medical Records and Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews of medical records and clinical documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.

• Collect and organize medical records in response to requests, audits, and claims.

• Identify gaps in documentation and reach out to providers as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer regulations.

• Manage all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Provide support to U.S. healthcare providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, medical records, or health information management.

• Proficient understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

• Strong grasp of medical terminology and human anatomy.

• Experience with EHR/EMR systems is essential.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Must be located in the Dominican Republic.

• Must have a reliable home office setup and stable internet connection.

• CPC, CCS, or an equivalent coding certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with U.S. payers and revenue cycle processes is a plus.
