Interventional Radiology Medical Coder – ProFee, Facility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver coding services for CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM across 1–4 specialties

• Code charts for Professional Fee and Facility

• Code both complex and straightforward inpatient and outpatient procedures

• Calculate Evaluation and Management (E&M) leveling

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost specificity

• Accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes for ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure correct code assignment

• Evaluate the significance of documentation and its impact on reimbursement

• Provide coding support services to clients

• Engage in training and educational programs provided by the company

• Uphold compliance with AHIMA ethical coding standards, as well as company ethics, privacy, security, and confidentiality protocols

• Perform additional duties as delegated by leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Interventional Radiology

• At least 2 years of practical experience

• Current certification from AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)

• Maintain at least one credential with AAPC or AHIMA

• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems

• Access to a phone, reliable internet, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references

• Achieve a productivity and accuracy rate of 95% or above

• Maintain a quality score of 95% or greater

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines

• Regular, predictable, and timely attendance

• Capability to work independently from home

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours each day

• Ability to occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
