This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, plan, implement, and continually improve practical training and continuing education initiatives for healthcare professionals focused on contemporary continuous glucose and ketone management.
• Articulate the medical significance of continuous glucose and ketone monitoring, assisting healthcare professionals in interpreting and utilizing glucose and ketone data for patient-centered diabetes care.
• Assess training requirements and create audience-specific training and continuing education programs.
• Take the lead in executing Medical Education projects at both regional and national levels independently.
• Provide internal training and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Sales, and various cross-functional teams.
• Represent Abbott Diabetes Care at regional and national events, workshops, and congresses, while also attending occasional international meetings.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in diabetes management, integrating relevant guidelines and care recommendations into training.
• Organize and initiate field visits with healthcare professionals from a home-based office.
• Execute administrative responsibilities and prepare for as well as follow up on appointments and virtual meetings from a home-based office.
• Successfully completed vocational training in the healthcare field.
• Additional qualification as a DDG Diabetes Educator or an equivalent credential.
• Several years of experience in diabetes management and/or training healthcare professionals.
• Experience as a speaker, trainer, clinical instructor, or in delivering structured training programs is a plus.
• Passion for conveying practical, relevant information and engaging with diverse target groups.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and facilitation abilities.
• Organized, independent, and self-motivated work style.
• Experience in planning and organizing training or continuing education programs is advantageous.
• Proficient in digital communication and presentation tools.
• Ideally, reside within the designated territory.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, as well as occasionally attend out-of-area appointments and international meetings.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
