This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the strategic planning and operational direction of Medical Affairs initiatives.
• Provide guidance for the extended Medical Leadership Team and facilitate Department Hot Topics Meetings.
• Supervise the training and onboarding programs for the internal medical team.
• Manage budget planning and tracking, contract administration, and governance of sponsorship and grant reviews.
• Direct project management across departments for critical Medical Affairs projects.
• Promote process excellence and continuous improvement through effective tools, systems, and scalable work methods.
• Oversee conference planning and execution, including pre-congress preparations, onsite management, and post-congress follow-up.
• Coordinate medical meetings, events, and congress-related activities with stakeholders, vendors, and external organizers.
• Establish accountability and processes for conference logistics, deliverables, and resource management.
• Own and manage the Medical Affairs budget, including forecasting and reconciliation with the Finance department.
• Supervise contract management with vendors, venues, and service providers.
• Review and oversee the processes for sponsorship and grants.
• Identify operational and financial risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and undertake additional projects and responsibilities as required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical affairs settings.
• Familiarity with event planning, logistics, and operational support is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in budget management, contract administration, and vendor coordination.
• Proven experience in managing SharePoint or similar digital collaboration platforms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently with a keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Willingness to travel as required for congress support.
• Team-oriented with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and a focus on customer service.
