This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee APP collaboration, medical governance, and regulatory supervision within CenterWell Medical Groupβs virtual care division.
β’ Offer physician consultation and clinical oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
β’ Create and uphold standardized physician collaboration frameworks across various states.
β’ Facilitate APP onboarding, education, and professional development for clinicians.
β’ Direct the Variable Staffing Pool physician model and ensure collaborative coverage across markets and states.
β’ Set standards, expectations, and governance procedures for VSP physicians.
β’ Anticipate physician collaboration needs in conjunction with workforce planning, credentialing, and operational leaders.
β’ Assess collaboration capacity, utilization, and effectiveness.
β’ Act as Medical Director for specific legal entities within CenterWell Medical Group.
β’ Meet physician oversight obligations mandated by regulations, state medical boards, and organizational policies.
β’ Lead during regulatory evaluations, audits, accreditation processes, and compliance assessments.
β’ Provide guidance to Legal and Compliance teams regarding physician practice standards and regulatory interpretation.
β’ Support multi-state physician collaboration and supervision mandates.
β’ Counsel leadership on regulatory implications for market expansion, provider deployment, and legal entity configuration.
β’ Develop, implement, and assess clinical policies and standards.
β’ Engage in quality, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
β’ Analyze clinical trends, escalations, and provider feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
β’ Conduct virtual patient consultations and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
β’ Leverage direct patient care experience to guide program design, provider support frameworks, and clinical governance.
β’ Recognize opportunities to enhance patient and provider experiences.
β’ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
β’ Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related primary care specialty.
β’ 10 unrestricted medical licenses with the capability to obtain additional licenses.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience.
β’ Experience within the last two years as a collaborating physician for virtual Advanced Practice Providers.
β’ Familiarity with telehealth, virtual care delivery, and value-based care models.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of physician collaboration, APP practice regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements.
β’ Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
