Medical Director, Respiratory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global medical strategy for Respiratory programs.

• Provide global medical leadership and strategic guidance for tezepelumab in Asthma, CRSwNP, and COPD.

• Act as a subject matter expert in the respiratory disease field, staying current with the latest research and scientific developments.

• Contribute to global product lifecycle management by serving as a scientific authority on tezepelumab.

• Lead or assist in the design, execution, and oversight of global evidence generation efforts, including real-world evidence (RWE) studies and clinical development programs.

• Represent global medical affairs in cross-functional teams.

• Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to ensure the alignment of the global medical affairs strategy with broader organizational goals.

• Convert scientific and clinical insights into actionable strategies that meet unmet medical needs in rare diseases.

• Lead the planning and execution of medical advisory boards, scientific congresses, and scientific engagement activities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), patient advocacy organizations, and professional societies.

• Ensure the high-quality dissemination of clinical and scientific data through peer-reviewed publications.

• Offer medical input to support value dossiers and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) activities.

• Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at shaping the healthcare ecosystem by facilitating access through evidence generation, scientific exchange, and medical education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 4 years of experience in industry medical affairs OR Master’s degree with 8 years of experience in industry medical affairs OR Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in industry medical affairs.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in directly managing people and/or leadership experience in guiding teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.

• PharmD, MD, or PhD with experience in product lifecycle management.

• In-depth knowledge of the respiratory disease therapeutic area, including Asthma, CRSwNP, and COPD.

• Proven strength in scientific leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional partners.

• Experience in effective alliance relationship management.

• Proven track record in leading global strategy development for new indications.

• Demonstrated expertise in spearheading evidence generation initiatives.
