This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case evaluations for medical necessity using EviCore’s case management software.
• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss the evidence-based medical necessity and suitability of requested services or treatments.
• Utilize clinical expertise to suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.
• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues at EviCore to ensure patients receive appropriate care through evidence-based decision-making.
• Complete structured remote training with guidance from trainers, mentors, and leadership.
• Remain updated on healthcare regulations and industry trends while reviewing a diverse array of cases.
• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Medical Oncology.
• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, as well as Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards, is advantageous.
• Ability to adhere to a fixed weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).
• Proficient computer skills: capacity to work independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.
• Fulfill the physical demands of the position, including, but not limited to, typing, speaking, and listening 100% of the time.
• Company-provided encrypted workstation that is hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.
• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum speed of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload for remote work.
