Medical Director, Medical Affairs – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee medical aspects and act as the designated Medical Monitor for clinical research studies.

• Lead global and regional trials in the role of Global Lead Medical Monitor.

• Evaluate and assist in the medical management of serious adverse events.

• Provide protocol-specific and therapeutic area training to project teams.

• Offer clinical and scientific knowledge to study protocols, clinical development initiatives, research publications, and other medical outputs.

• Assist in sponsor engagement and business development efforts, including feasibility evaluations, proposal creation, and client interactions.

• Review and contribute to clinical study reports and other important study documents.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee successful project execution, regulatory adherence, and client satisfaction.

• Guide and support the growth of medical colleagues.

• Stay updated on therapeutic areas and industry advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Degree from a recognized institution of medical education.

• Minimum of 2 years of medical monitoring experience in clinical research or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of GCP, clinical development, safety processes, and relevant regulatory standards.

• Experience in reviewing safety data and assisting with the assessment and management of serious adverse events.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

• Proficiency in English.

• Valid passport and willingness to travel as necessary.
