Senior Director, Medical Strategy Lead – Rheumatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic medical and scientific expertise to IQVIA in the field of Rheumatology.

• Engage with potential customers at early stages.

• Create strategic proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

• Serve as a leader, medical director, and subject matter expert during client proposal bid defense meetings.

• Act as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and during clinical trials.

• Provide independent customer solutions as needed.

• Collaborate across the organization to utilize IQVIA resources effectively.

• Develop clinical development plans.

• Implement the group's strategy.

• Guide the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.

• Operate independently from the therapeutic area head.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) setting.

• Candidates with CRO backgrounds should have held a senior strategic position.

• Extensive expertise in Rheumatology is essential.

• A terminal degree (MD) is required.

• Training in Rheumatology is necessary.

• Practical experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the research and development therapeutic area.

• Board Certification in Rheumatology is required.

• Must be willing to travel nationally or internationally at least 20% of the time.
