This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Report directly to the Executive Director, Solid Tumors, and oversee the US Medical Affairs function for GI Oncology and Solid Tumors.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to a cross-functional Medical Affairs team in the formulation and execution of Medical Affairs plans.
• Collaborate with brand and Clinical Development teams on strategic initiatives and lifecycle management for both marketed and in-development products.
• Offer subject-matter expertise and guidance to colleagues in sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations.
• Address medical inquiries and provide scientific input for product materials, research proposals, and internal training sessions.
• Establish strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and professional organizations within the oncology field.
• Represent Medical Affairs at advisory boards, scientific conferences, and interactions with investigators.
• Work in conjunction with Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Communications, HEOR, PVO, and Medical Information teams.
• Organize scientific congresses, advisory boards, publications, field-force training, medical information responses, health economics, and epidemiology analyses, as well as marketing/policy initiatives.
• Contribute scientific insights into publication strategies and review manuscripts, abstracts, and posters.
• Engage in cross-functional Clinical and Commercial teams to enhance brand strategies and tactics.
• Participate in the review of Investigator Sponsored Trials and educational grant processes.
• Address inquiries from healthcare professionals and managed care organizations.
• Ensure that medical affairs presentations are precise, consistent, and clinically relevant.
• Review and authorize promotional materials.
• An advanced degree (MD, DO, Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Experience in oncology is essential, with a preference for GI tumors and Breast Cancer.
• A minimum of 5-10 years in medical affairs or related roles within a pharmaceutical company, or equivalent clinical experience in oncology is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with internal teams in sales, marketing, and managed care.
• Proven success in managing teams, either directly or within a matrix structure.
• Ability to establish credible professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
• Competence in delivering scientific presentations.
• A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
