Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee W-2 and 1099 physicians delivering asynchronous acute, primary, and longevity care.

• Continue to engage with patients approximately 30% of the time.

• Collaborate with the VP of Care Delivery and VP of Clinical Operations.

• Scale and lead a high-performing medical group.

• Motivate, develop, and retain clinical staff.

• Establish expectations and uphold high-quality standards.

• Foster a culture of clinical excellence and accountability.

• Facilitate physician meetings and initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement and retention.

• Develop and implement scalable clinical programs.

• Work with Product and AI teams to create programs and clinical workflows.

• Promote clinical and operational excellence in conjunction with Clinical Operations.

• Manage complex cases and make or escalate clinical decisions as necessary.

• Leverage frontline patient care experience to influence physician leadership and care delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.

• Significant experience in providing longitudinal patient care.

• A minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical practice (5+ years preferred).

• Experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, weight management, and metabolic health.

• Direct experience in physician management, including coaching, performance management, and providing constructive feedback.

• Preferred experience of three or more years in physician management; strong candidates with less experience will be considered.

• Currently practicing medicine or having provided direct patient care within the last three months.

• Possession of 10+ active U.S. state medical licenses and readiness to obtain additional licenses.

• Experience in virtual care settings.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work comfortably in asynchronous, messaging-based care environments.

• Board-certified physician currently residing in and licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
