Medical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• During standard working hours, you will engage with customers via phone to assist with diagnostic test selection, interpretation of laboratory results (including both reference laboratory and in-house testing), and the management and treatment of medical cases.

• You will provide information about IDEXX diagnostic offerings, covering test availability, specimen requirements, clinical utility, and interpretation of results.

• You will enhance and expand your medical knowledge through self-directed learning, attending scientific meetings, participating in internal continuing education, and regularly reviewing current literature.

• You may be required to write newsletter articles for inclusion in IDEXX newsletters, draft or review laboratory diagnostic or service updates for new products or services, or create other marketing, sales, or promotional materials.

• Participation in IDEXX educational and organizational meetings may also be part of your responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A veterinary degree with the legal right to practice.

• We encourage applications from experienced clinicians with substantial hands-on expertise in Small Animal Internal Medicine, ideally supported by additional qualifications, equivalent experience, or Board Certification from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) or the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).

• Proficiency in Polish and Czech/Slovakian, in addition to English, is preferred. A minimum requirement includes English and Polish or English and Czech/Slovakian. Additional language abilities (German, Dutch) are advantageous in this international organization.

• A collaborative, service-oriented mindset, along with the capacity to work independently, is crucial for our team.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning skills will be beneficial in this role.

• Comfort with stepping outside your comfort zone occasionally, pragmatic thinking, and a high level of resilience are important traits.

• Proficiency in computer usage and a dependable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 100 Mb/s download and 30 Mb/s upload) are required, as this is a virtual position necessitating prolonged computer use.

• This role will be home-based, but occasional travel may be required.
