This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for completing ICD-10 coding for hospice episodes by utilizing medical history, input from physicians, and current ICD-10 coding standards.
• Keeps updated on all federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
• Executes additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance with all relevant regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
• A high school diploma is mandatory.
• College coursework in business or a related field is preferred.
• ICD-10 Coding certification or in the process of obtaining certification is required.
• At least two (2) years of experience in an office setting or a related field.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of effective communication skills for interacting with individuals of all ages, particularly the geriatric demographic.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in computer skills and software applications.
• Strong attention to detail is necessary.
• Familiarity with personnel management, record keeping, and office administration is important.
• Demonstrated ability to set and accomplish goals while finding more efficient methods to perform tasks.
• Must complete work with a high degree of accuracy and within the organization's timelines.
• Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight, and capable of working independently.
