Medical Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Revenue Cycle Management billing process from the submission of claims to the final reimbursement.

• Monitor and manage unpaid invoices, following up on outstanding claims as necessary.

• Analyze denied claims to identify errors or necessary corrections, and resubmit claims with the required adjustments.

• Handle claim resubmission and correction tasks, ensuring accuracy to prevent reimbursement delays.

• Record billing activities in compliance with regulatory standards and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.

• Enhance billing operations and revenue for healthcare practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in medical billing with knowledge of RCM and A/R processes.

• Familiarity with claim denial management and collection processes.

• Strong proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken.

• Skilled in using virtual office tools, EHR systems, and communication platforms.

• Excellent customer service and critical thinking abilities.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the significance of maintaining patient data confidentiality.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

• Availability to work within US time zones (PST, EST, CST).

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher, along with a reliable backup connection.

• Intel Core i5 7th Generation or higher (or equivalent processor).

• 8 GB of RAM.

• 256 GB SSD or HDD with at least 50% free space available.

• Webcam with a resolution of 720p or greater.

• Windows 10 or later (or equivalent operating system).

• Noise-canceling headphones or headset.
