This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within the KanCare Contact Center as part of the KanCare Clearinghouse Program.
• Collect comprehensive documentation and input data into various systems.
• Assist with KDHE’s programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Address inquiries regarding the eligibility process and provide general information about Family Medical and E&D/LTC Programs.
• Respond to calls in a courteous, accurate, and concise manner.
• Emphasize the accuracy and quality of the information provided.
• Assess information received by phone, ask follow-up questions, seek additional details, and evaluate potential impacts.
• Utilize telephones, e-mail, and web browsers effectively.
• Stay informed of current regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Complete required training as necessary.
• Must be a resident of Kansas.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required; post-secondary education is preferred.
• At least six (6) months of experience in customer service.
• A minimum of six (6) months of experience in Family Medical Medicaid eligibility is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and managed care programs is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English, with fluency in speaking and reading both languages is preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to navigate complex software systems.
• Experience using MS Office, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to adapt and respond to various personality types.
• Capacity to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Excellent data entry skills with the ability to accurately type 30 words per minute.
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of records and communications.
• Internet speed of 10 Mbps upload and 50 Mbps download is required.
• A resume must be submitted with the application.
• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions is necessary.
• Must have the camera turned on during remote training sessions.
• Ability to work an assigned 8-hour shift during operational hours from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm CST.
• No time off is permitted during the training period.
• Health benefits (medical, dental, vision) become available on the first day of employment.
• Paid time off accrues after 180 days (approximately 6 months) of employment.
• Equipment will be provided for your use.
• Remote work arrangement is available.
• Approximately 7 weeks of remote training conducted via video.
