This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee daily monitoring activities across both traditional and social media—track and evaluate coverage, trends, and journalist engagement pertinent to client sectors.
• Create succinct reports and executive summaries that simplify complex trends into clear, actionable insights and summaries for clients and account teams.
• Perform competitive, market, and audience research to guide client strategies and pinpoint emerging opportunities.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and industries; proactively monitor and grasp emerging issues, trends, and news affecting your clients' operations.
• Collaborate closely with account teams to provide timely, accurate insights that support client initiatives.
• Work in conjunction with clients, vendors, and agency departments to collect and synthesize data, ensuring the highest standards of quality and relevance.
• Participate in team brainstorming and strategic sessions by contributing a research-driven perspective to the generation of ideas.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a full-time position, either within a public relations agency or the communications department of a company in a relevant industry.
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, a related discipline, or liberal arts.
• Ability to work from 8am-5pm ET.
• Maintain a professional, client-facing demeanor and presence; uphold a high standard of etiquette in all communications and interactions.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; strong attention to detail with proofreading capabilities.
• Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data-driven storytelling.
• Proven understanding of digital and social media and their interplay with traditional media relations.
• Experience with and deep knowledge of media metrics such as share of voice, impressions, and sentiment analysis.
• Ability to think quickly and adaptively—grasping and learning about various business sectors rapidly.
• Excellent time management and project management skills (able to manage multiple tasks; keeps account team informed of timelines, and manages upward to superiors to ensure deadlines are achieved).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in Meltwater, Muck Rack, TV Eyes, and other monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel as necessary based on client and new business requirements (specifics may vary).
• Experience with or a passion for corporate/B2B clients is a plus!
