This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the specific mechanical engineering needs for each project.
• Analyze system drawings, conveyor manifests, engineering hour estimates, project contract stipulations, and available options.
• Serve as the technical liaison with the project representatives of customers.
• Establish project scope and oversee contract change orders.
• Review 3D models and uphold mechanical engineering schedules that align with installation timelines.
• Implement projects within the agreed budgets and hours.
• Offer technical assistance to vendors, field installation teams, and engineering subcontractors.
• Organize and facilitate weekly meetings with project teams and clients.
• Assign and oversee tasks delegated to engineering team members.
• Utilize knowledge of conveying systems, equipment, and customer specifications and standards.
• Interpret and ensure adherence to customer specifications.
• Convey project information to project management, purchasing, electrical engineering, field installation, and fabrication departments.
• Release drawings necessary for installation and fabrication.
• Generate material purchase requests.
• Communicate modifications to project scope and provide regular status updates to engineering management.
• Identify opportunities for professional growth, cost savings, quality enhancements, and improved customer service.
• Review mechanical designers’ drawings for precision and provide feedback for corrections.
• Conduct or assist with engineering analyses in structural, mechanical power transmission, and fluid power disciplines.

• Proficient in reading, comprehending, and applying customer specifications.

• Effectively leads and mentors project teams comprising 5–12 engineers and designers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Inventor; knowledge of Navisworks and BIM is advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is beneficial.
• Familiarity with power transmission equipment and steel fabrication is a plus.
• Three to five years of experience in material handling equipment, preferably with conveyor systems.
• Experience in executing and supporting medium to large projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design.
• Some domestic travel may be required, approximately ±10%, based on project needs and urgency.
