Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Power and Process

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Proficient in designing steam systems, hydronic systems, gas compression and distribution systems, building mechanical systems, and developing site and facility layouts, as well as general process or industrial facility projects.

• Skilled in creating Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).

• Experienced in producing drawing and specification packages for both Design Build and Design-Bid-Build project methodologies.

• As the Project Manager, oversee, direct, and manage projects to ensure adherence to commitments regarding time, quality, and budget.

• Collaborate directly with clients to establish project schedules and expectations.

• Coordinate with other disciplines as necessary to ensure that project deliverables are aligned for constructability.

• Supervise and direct mechanical engineering staff in executing projects to achieve schedule and budget objectives.

• Familiarity with and application of relevant codes.

• Enhance ICT design standards and administrative procedures as needed.

• Support the team leader in manpower forecasting and work scheduling.

• Assist the team leader in client development through various business development initiatives.

• Aid the market segment manager and team leader in preparing RFP proposals, including project narratives, resumes, and fee structures.

• Take a proactive role in the proposal process for work.

• Identify potential clients and collaborate with the team leader to build relationships with those clients.

• Recognize new opportunities that could synergize with our existing business.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in Project Management is essential.

• Understanding of engineering theories and methodologies.

• Knowledge of project approaches and system design.

• Willingness to develop and maintain client relationships.
