This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and lead data center design projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and financial forecasts.

• Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.

• Supervise the mechanical engineering components of data center design, focusing on HVAC, cooling systems, and energy efficiency strategies.

• Collaborate closely with electrical and structural engineers to deliver integrated and cohesive design solutions.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and codes.

• Offer technical guidance and support throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations.

• Review and authorize design documents, specifications, and drawings.

• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors effectively.

• Assess and select suppliers for mechanical systems and components.

• Oversee quality control of materials and workmanship to ensure standards are met.

• Advocate for sustainable design practices and innovative technologies aimed at enhancing data center performance.

• Implement energy-saving initiatives that align with the company’s sustainability objectives.

• Ensure rigorous quality assurance processes are upheld throughout the project.

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with design specifications and standards.

• Maintain thorough and precise project documentation.

• Prepare consistent status updates for senior management and stakeholders.

• Guarantee a smooth handover of completed projects to operations teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in data center design and project management.

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling, and energy management.

• Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects.

• Exceptional project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Procore).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in team settings and collaborate with cross-functional groups.

• Dedication to continuous improvement and professional growth.
