This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and create pneumatic systems, compressed air distribution networks, and air-operated equipment.

• Conduct calculations for air consumption, analyze pressure drops, and size systems accordingly.

• Select pneumatic components such as cylinders, valves, FRLs, manifolds, tubing, and fittings.

• Develop and maintain pneumatic schematics along with engineering documentation.

• Diagnose issues within pneumatic systems during manufacturing, installation, and operational phases.

• Collaborate with teams in controls, mechanical, and project engineering.

• Identify ways to minimize compressed air usage and enhance system efficiency.

• Assist customer sites with technical assessments and issue resolution.

• Contribute to the design and development of both current and new products.

• Generate essential 2D and 3D drawings along with manufacturing details.

• Provide pricing proposals for systems.

• Aid consultants in design and specification development.

• Deliver 3D modeling that includes structural component details based on shop drawings and bills of materials.

• Collaborate with other disciplines.

• Engage in communication with customers and fellow engineers.

• Strive for continuous improvement through feedback.

• Maintain expert-level knowledge of products and application expertise.

• Organize engineering files on SharePoint and local servers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience focused on the design and installation of pneumatic systems preferred.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Proficient in AutoCAD is essential.

• Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Autodesk Inventor.

• Possessing a US Visa is an advantage.

• Valid passport is a plus.

• Enthusiasm for new technology, intralogistics, and automation.

• Capability to be flexible, open-minded, and receptive to new ideas.

• Ability to adapt to evolving circumstances.

• Willingness to perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

• Comfort with prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
