This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design realistic enterprise mechanical engineering scenarios that encompass intricate product-development cycles.
• Generate tasks that involve multi-stakeholder design reviews, manufacturing processes, and workflows for engineering certification.
• Integrate considerations of safety, reliability, regulations, production, and commercial aspects into engineering challenges.
• Create tasks related to product design, CAD modeling, thermal and fluid systems, structural analysis, and stress analysis.
• Formulate scenarios focused on manufacturing process engineering and reliability or failure analysis.
• Develop reference design specifications, engineering calculations, analyses, and technical recommendations.
• Assess engineering decisions against realistic enterprise requirements and constraints.
• Utilize SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, and similar engineering platforms to develop scenarios.
• Incorporate enterprise PLM workflows, FEA, CFD, DFM/DFA, Six Sigma, DFSS, and GD&T methodologies.
• Produce reference outputs that showcase seasoned engineering judgment.
• Create comprehensive evaluation rubrics for complex mechanical engineering tasks.
• Evaluate technical accuracy, practical feasibility, safety considerations, and engineering trade-offs.
• Craft technical narratives that are appropriate for senior engineering and executive stakeholders.
• Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to sophisticated AI evaluation tasks.
• Engage in remote consulting projects that involve scenario development, technical analysis, rubric creation, and output evaluation.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in a significant industrial, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or similar enterprise environment.
• Direct involvement in substantial product designs, manufacturing processes, or engineering programs.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical product development and design-review methodologies.
• Practical experience in structural, thermal, fluid, manufacturing, or reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with enterprise engineering tools and product lifecycle management workflows.
• Strong grasp of safety, regulatory, and certification requirements.
• Exceptional technical writing, analytical reasoning, and engineering judgment skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, or MATLAB/Simulink is desirable.
• Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or equivalent PLM systems is advantageous.
• Advanced experience in FEA or CFD is a plus.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, Six Sigma, or DFSS methodologies is beneficial.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS standards is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASME, ISO, FAA, FDA, or other relevant engineering and certification frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering design reviews is beneficial.
• Background in authoring technical documentation, engineering training materials, or structured evaluation rubrics is a plus.
