This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute mechanical engineering tasks related to the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS), including both system and detailed component design.

• Assess and analyze various plant systems to guarantee that design, performance, inspection, and testing criteria are established and fulfilled.

• Draft, verify, and review engineering reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documents.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on highly complex projects across various fields, proposing innovative design solutions that require considerable independent judgment.

• Interpret project scope and requirements.

• Organize, plan, and conduct complex tasks to support the development of licensing scope.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

• Act as a technical leader for the design of NSSS components and systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

• A registered professional engineer (P.E.) license in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.

• At least 10 years of full-time, relevant experience in the nuclear field is required.

• A strong background in Inservice Inspection (ISI) is necessary.

• Must possess excellent technical writing abilities along with professional communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Exceptional organizational capabilities and the ability to manage intricate projects with multiple phases are essential.

• Additional experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Familiarity with ASME Sections III & XI Codes and Standards, and knowledge of 10CFR 50 ASME Section XI Engineering Programs such as ISI and IST.

• Understanding of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements and techniques applicable during Pre-Service Inspection (PSI) and Inservice Inspection (ISI) of components.

• Experience in nuclear utilities or plants, with knowledge of NSSS Component Design, Inspection & Testing, and resolving complex multidisciplinary design challenges.

• Experience with domestic nuclear licensing support is a plus.
