This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conducts and records assessments of components in accordance with the rules and requirements outlined in Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, including but not limited to analyzing components for pressure and mechanical/thermal loadings, such as Primary Stress, the intensity range of Primary plus Secondary stress, and Fatigue.
• Leverages the findings from these assessments to enhance the design of component(s).
• Understands and clarifies scope and project requirements.
• Acquires, maintains, and develops necessary training qualifications.
• Collaborates with colleagues and other disciplines to foster effective coordination of design tasks and to address technical challenges.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, from a four-year ABET accredited institution is mandatory.
• At least 6 years of full-time relevant work experience is essential.
• Direct experience with ANSYS finite element software and CAD applications is required.
• Must have practical experience using ANSYS for stress analysis in accordance with Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, specifically Subsections NB, NG, and/or NF.
• Additional experience in areas such as Seismic/dynamic analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer programming skills (e.g., ANSYS APDL, Matlab, Python) is advantageous.
