Mechanical & Electrical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical design drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

• Design coordinated building services layouts across diverse projects.

• Assist in the design of HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting, power, and public health systems.

• Generate technical documentation, schedules, specifications, and supporting calculations.

• Ensure that designs adhere to current UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and CIBSE guidelines.

• Collaborate with architectural and structural teams to align designs.

• Engage in project meetings and client discussions remotely.

• Evaluate project information and implement design changes as necessary.

• Aid in project delivery from the initial concept phase to final completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in Mechanical & Electrical or Building Services Design.

• Expertise in AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with Revit MEP and BIM workflows.

• Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and building services standards.

• Experience in generating technical drawings and design documentation.

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a remote team setting.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
