Mechanical Designer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems utilizing Revit for a variety of projects.

• Create comprehensive HVAC and plumbing system layouts in Revit, incorporating ductwork, piping, and the positioning of equipment.

• Conduct engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and optimizing system performance.

• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines.

• Produce and revise specifications for mechanical equipment.

• Evaluate submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and change orders.

• Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and national building regulations.

• Work closely with project managers, clients, and vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in MEP mechanical design.

• A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in HVAC design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation tools.

• Knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and industry best practices.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
