Mechanical CAD Drafter – Fire Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive AutoCAD drawings for fire protection systems, including layouts for fire sprinklers and fire alarms, along with associated components.

• Develop detailed block plans, schematic diagrams, and technical drawings for both submission and construction purposes.

• Assist in preparing and updating drawings for high-rise fire protection projects.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and the existing design team to ensure that drawings accurately reflect design intent, project specifications, and applicable requirements.

• Review drawings and incorporate feedback from design and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Revise and update existing fire protection drawings as project requirements change.

• Coordinate with other disciplines to guarantee that drawings are properly integrated and free from clashes.

• Learn and implement the client's fire protection drafting standards, techniques, and best practices.

• Ensure that drawings and technical documentation are precise, complete, and delivered within project timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be based in the Philippines.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with documented experience in producing detailed technical drawings.

• Experience in drafting drawings related to fire sprinklers, fire alarms, fire protection, mechanical, electrical, or other building services is highly preferred.

• Understanding of fire protection drawings, including layouts for sprinklers, fire alarms, hydrants, fire pumps, or related systems, is advantageous.

• Experience in designing sprinkler or hydrant systems is not a prerequisite.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering precise technical documentation.

• Ability to swiftly learn and apply industry-specific fire protection standards and drafting requirements.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work with engineers, architects, and project teams.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a specialized technical field.

• Must be based in the Philippines and capable of working remotely.

• Must align with the client's US business hours, approximately 8 AM–5 PM, Monday to Friday, Pacific Time.

• Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work.

• Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
