MDR Shift Analyst – Unit 42

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assess security alerts within customer environments.

• Prioritize, investigate, and address security incidents from detection to resolution.

• Examine endpoint, network, and log data to detect malicious activities.

• Convey findings and remediation suggestions to both customers and internal teams.

• Record investigations, response measures, and incident results.

• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Security Research teams to enhance detection and response capabilities.

• Provide support for overnight and weekend security operations as part of a 24x7 global operation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must currently live on the West Coast (PST time zone).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SOC, Incident Response, MDR, or Managed Security Services.

• Proficient in EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewall technologies.

• Solid understanding of cyber threats, attack methods, and incident response procedures.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to work day shifts, weekends, and holidays according to business and customer requirements.

• Experience with Cortex XDR and/or Cortex XSOAR is preferred.

• Previous experience in shift-based or overnight security operations is preferred.

• CySA+, CEH, or equivalent security certifications are preferred.

• Experience in MDR, managed security, military cyber, or intelligence roles is preferred.
