MDM Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in executing the MDM strategy and the data governance framework.

• Conduct data profiling and assess data quality across primary master data domains.

• Detect duplicates, completeness issues, inconsistencies, and potential root causes.

• Establish and record master data requirements, business rules, data quality standards, and validation criteria.

• Identify authoritative data sources and document the creation, maintenance, distribution, and consumption of master data.

• Monitor data quality issues from identification through to ownership, resolution, and closure.

• Examine recurring data issues and support opportunities for remediation.

• Document MDM specifics in Atlan and manage daily administration of the data catalog, including user access and routine maintenance.

• Provide regular MDM reporting, data quality scorecards, and program metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

• Manage MDM program trackers, task lists, and status logs.

• Integrate team and partner updates into concise summaries and monitor outstanding items.

• Prepare materials for governance meetings and working groups, take notes, capture action items, and communicate issues requiring attention.

• Collaborate with data stewards, business teams, technology teams, and subject matter experts from various business units and functions.

• Address routine inquiries regarding data definitions and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a data, analytical, or administrative support role, with hands-on experience in working with data.

• A degree in information systems, data, business, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong understanding of data quality, data structures, data definitions, metadata, and data lifecycle management.

• Previous experience in Master Data Management is advantageous but not mandatory.

• High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with SQL, including data analysis and data quality assessments.

• Interest in data management, data quality, and data governance.

• Openness to learning MDM and data governance tools and platforms.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

• A collaborative, dependable, and proactive approach.

• Careful and responsible handling of personal and sensitive information.

• Experience or interest in media, sports, entertainment, live events, or consumer data environments.
