This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver capital markets services that encompass public equity offerings, convertible debt, PIPEs, Registered Direct offerings, and private placements for both equity and debt securities.
• Spearhead strategies and activities in both sell-side and buy-side engagements.
• Collaborate with institutional sales, traders, and both internal and external partners to create, market, and implement complex client solutions.
• Comply with and enforce both firm and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of documentation and materials.
• Market and negotiate transactions effectively.
• Lead deal teams in executing financing transactions, including public offerings, private placements, and PIPE transactions.
• Work alongside investment bankers to ensure swift and efficient transaction execution.
• Assist in new business development by identifying and prioritizing prospects, delivering pitches, and marketing at industry events.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through project assignments, coaching, and mentoring.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and investors.
• Travel as necessary to meet customer needs, with an expectation of over 50% travel.
• A background in Investment Banking, specifically within the Consumer, Industrials, Media, Communications, Energy, Financials, Real Estate, Materials, or Utilities sectors is essential.
• Relevant industry experience within Northland’s focus areas.
• Extensive experience in executing sell-side, buy-side, and debt transactions.
• A proven history of working on completed deals.
• Capability to manage multiple projects while providing intricate financial analysis.
• Expertise in developing suitable corporate finance solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in developing and sustaining client and investor relationships.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A BA/BA degree is mandatory.
• Possession of FINRA SIE, 7, 63, and Series 79 Licenses (or equivalent registrations).
• An MBA is highly preferred.
• A minimum of five years of experience in Investment Banking or Capital Markets, including at least one year at the Director level or equivalent.
• Unrestricted work authorization; future sponsorship is not required.
• Must comply with relevant financial industry responsibility, regulatory, credit fitness, and criminal background standards.
• Must fulfill ongoing regulatory requirements, which include acceptable background checks, credit reports, and fingerprinting results.
• Able to work at least 8 hours per day and effectively communicate with employees and the public.
