Math Instructor, FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students focused on their mathcore skills, fostering a long-term comprehension of subjects and high scores on their college readiness assessments (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students’ progress as they navigate through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing personalized growth and improvement opportunities throughout their journey.

• Demonstrate professionalism and effective organizational abilities by responding to students in a timely manner, managing and updating student lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring accountability for assignments.

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of continually evolving lesson plans and curricula.

• Support middle and high school students with empathy, recognizing that the college application process is becoming increasingly competitive and stressful.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master’s degree or higher preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in mathematics and/or experience in a college-level tutoring center.

• A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

• Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace with minimal distractions.
