This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Teach small “core” groups of students in their fundamental math skills to foster a deep understanding of topics and achieve high scores on their college readiness assessments (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students' progress as they advance through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing them with personalized growth and improvement opportunities throughout the journey.

• Demonstrate professionalism and effective organizational skills by responding to students in a timely manner, managing and updating student lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring students are accountable for their assignments.

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of continually evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students with compassion, recognizing that the college application process is becoming increasingly competitive and stressful.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master’s or higher is preferred; candidates at the entry-level are welcome).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in math and/or experience in a college-level tutoring center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Availability of a reliable internet connection and a workspace that is quiet and free from distractions.
