Math Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Teach small “core” groups of students in their fundamental math skills to foster a lasting understanding of concepts and achieve top scores in their college readiness assessments (ACT & SAT)

• Monitor your students’ advancement as they progress through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing personalized growth and improvement opportunities along the way

• Demonstrate professionalism and excellent organizational skills by responding to students promptly, keeping their lesson schedules updated on our online platform, and ensuring students are accountable for their assignments

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of continually evolving lesson plans and curriculum

• Support middle and high school students with empathy, recognizing that the college application process is becoming increasingly competitive and stressful

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master’s or higher preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome)

• Experience in teaching math and/or a background in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years)

• A GPA of 3.5 or above

• Competence in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites

• Availability of a reliable internet connection and a workspace that is quiet with minimal distractions
