Material Damage Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform appraisals based on photographs and negotiate any additional repairs with body shops to guarantee fair pricing.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with body shop partners.

• Record estimate summaries in the claims reporting system.

• Revise and adjust estimates as necessary.

• Ensure swift and timely resolution of estimates in line with company objectives and policies.

• Assess totaled vehicles in accordance with company guidelines.

• Manage special projects as required.

• Comply with training to adhere to state and federal regulations.

• Stay updated on new repair methods, tools, and advancements in the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in Property & Casualty insurance with at least 3 years of experience in appraisals.

• Extensive understanding of repair and total loss methodologies along with statutory obligations.

• Capability to work autonomously with limited oversight.

• Possess and maintain all necessary licenses.

• Ability to sit for extended periods at a workstation and operate a computer.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Should be able to navigate through various departments within the organization’s physical location.
