Master’s Scholarship Recipient – Data Science, People Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Identify business rules, establish success criteria, and determine regulatory requirements (LGPD).

• Analyze data sources, evaluate quality and representativeness, uncover historical biases, and confirm dependable labels.

• Create the training dataset, ensure data anonymization in accordance with LGPD, generate features, and tackle bias issues.

• Develop and train the model.

• Evaluate technical quality and make informed business go/no-go decisions.

• Incorporate the model into a human-in-the-loop workflow.

• Maintain documentation for auditing, consistently monitor, and uphold governance with a rollback strategy.

• Create an innovation project for ICT Itaú in collaboration with Inova Talentos.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with the degree completed.

• Proven experience with machine learning and recommendation/ranking models.

• Proficiency in data manipulation, integration, and preparation utilizing Python, SQL, or comparable tools.

• Skills in exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

• Ability to define success metrics and develop analytical MVPs.

• Knowledge of LGPD, bias mitigation, and explainability as applied to sensitive decision-making.

• Experience in People Analytics or handling HR data and recruiting processes.

• Familiarity with fairness evaluation (gender/race/age) and techniques for bias mitigation.

• Capability to monitor model drift, perform auditing, and ensure governance for models in production.

• Experience executing controlled pilots with online evaluations (measuring effort and quality).

• Degree in progress or completed.
