Master Level HIM Adj, Medical Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Teach assigned courses within the specified program.

• Conduct bi-weekly live sessions through Zoom for each course.

• Maintain a flexible schedule for office hours and individual meetings.

• Provide prompt information and feedback regarding students’ academic performance concerning quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.

• Engage in outreach efforts to boost participation among at-risk students.

• Keep accurate and current records of student academic and attendance performance.

• Submit final grades following university policies.

• Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

• Stay updated with advancements in the instructional field.

• Perform any other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty job description, SOPs, and university regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science, or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Health Information Management, Coding, or Revenue Cycle is required.

• Certification in coding is necessary (CCS, CPC, CCS-P, or a related medical coding credential).

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.

• Prior experience in online teaching is advantageous.

• Ability to operate in a virtual environment using multiple software platforms concurrently, including MS Office, Canvas, Zoom, etc.

• Candidates must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Utah.
