Master Data Developer – Data Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of environment provisioning and ensure platform readiness across lakehouse and cloud-warehouse layers.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for metric definitions and transformation logic.

• Oversee Git-based version control and facilitate promotion across development, test, UAT, and production environments.

• Implement automated regression testing for reconciliation suites.

• Establish monitoring and alerting systems for replication lag, failures, landing-zone health, schema changes, warehouse refresh state, lag breaches, and cost/consumption anomalies.

• Manage platform cost attribution and monitor consumption across warehouses and computing resources.

• Maintain architecture decision records and living delivery artifacts in collaboration with the Architect.

• Draft and transfer operational runbooks for replication failure/recovery, reconciliation triage, metric-definition changes, and cost-anomaly responses.

• Facilitate progressive knowledge transfer through paired working sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in DataOps or platform engineering roles supporting a production cloud data platform.

• Strong practical experience with CI/CD processes for data pipelines.

• Proficiency in Git-based workflows.

• Knowledge of automated testing and regression gates.

• Experience with promotions across various environments.

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting on a CDC replication pipeline and cloud data warehouse.

• Background in working with data in financial/accounting, FP&A, or mortgage sectors.

• Experience in owning platform reliability and cost governance.

• Proficient in English (B2+).

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake operational aspects (desirable).

• Experience in writing production runbooks and guiding knowledge transfer to a client operations team (desirable).

• Familiarity with Qlik Replicate (desirable).
