This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and manage our customer advocacy program, which includes references, case studies, customer-generated content, video testimonials, and customer speakers for events.
• Analyze Sumble's own usage data and platform metadata to create first-party industry insights, providing unique intelligence on current GTM team activities that others cannot access due to data scarcity. Transform these insights into reports, social media content, and engaging discussions with customers and prospects.
• Establish a consistent rhythm of customer insights initiatives, including structured interviews, synthesizing voice-of-customer feedback, and creating feedback loops for product, sales, and customer success teams.
• Oversee the customer aspect of launches and announcements — coordinating reference customers, drafting their narratives, and ensuring they are quoted and featured at events.
• Create systems (CAB, reference database, advocate tiering) that allow for scalability without increasing headcount.
• Manage our event strategy comprehensively across three formats: hosted events (webinars, dinners, meetups), self-hosted physical gatherings (user meetups, regional events), and sponsorships at third-party events (trade shows, industry conferences).
• Determine which events to attend, sponsor, host, or forgo, supported by a clear pipeline and brand rationale for each decision.
• Handle all operational aspects: budget management, vendor relations, speaker coordination, run-of-show logistics, lead capture, and post-event follow-up with the Sales team.
• Develop a forward-looking 6-12 month calendar that facilitates planning for other teams, ensuring adherence to this timeline.
• Travel alongside our customers and to events — this role requires mobility rather than a fixed desk setting.
• Manage Sumble's social media presence across all platforms, prioritizing LinkedIn as the main channel.
• Ensure a consistent posting schedule — moving beyond sporadic updates to a structured editorial calendar that builds over time.
• Foster thought leader engagements on two fronts: activate our internal voices (founders, executives, customer-facing team) through ghost-writing, prompts, and frameworks, while also authentically connecting Sumble with external thought leaders that resonate with our audience through guest appearances, podcasts, collaborative content, and discussions that are relevant.
• Approach social media as a comprehensive system: establishing content pillars, distribution loops, measurement, and ongoing iteration.
• 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within GTM technology — such as sales technology, data infrastructure, RevOps platforms, or related fields targeting GTM buyers (CROs, RevOps, sales leaders, marketing operations). You are familiar with the personas and understand their reading habits, event attendance, and preferences.
• Expertise in customer marketing and community/events — you have managed at least one of these areas comprehensively and can credibly expand into the other. We seek individuals with specialized experience rather than generalists with minimal exposure.
• A proactive individual contributor (IC) mindset — you have previously built initiatives from the ground up, prioritize effectively, make decisions independently, and have opted for depth in IC roles rather than pursuing a management path (or wish to do so).
• Proven fluency in AI integrated into actual production workflows. We expect concrete examples of how your AI tools have accelerated, improved, or differentiated your work. Be prepared to discuss your experiences.
• Comfortable in public settings. You will present at meetups, participate in webinars, appear on camera, and engage in LinkedIn discussions. While you don't need to seek the spotlight, you should be able to embrace it in this position.
• Strong writing abilities. The role will involve crafting customer narratives, social media posts, event scripts, and executive ghost-writing, with written communication being central to your responsibilities.
• Exceptionally organized. You will manage a calendar, budget, multiple stakeholders, and recurring initiatives simultaneously. Colleagues have described you as an organizational powerhouse.
• Proficient in standard B2B tools (HubSpot or Marketo, Salesforce, modern social media platforms, basic analytics) and adept at learning new tools as necessary.
• Preference for candidates based in San Francisco — remote work within US time zones is acceptable, but anticipate frequent travel to customers and events, along with regular time spent in San Francisco with the team.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (US)
• 401(k) plan (US)
• 4 weeks of paid time off (PTO)
• Equity in a rapidly growing Series A company
• Generous policy for AI token usage
