This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Execute and manage marketing activities across web, digital advertising, events, and various campaign channels.
• Accurately implement activities from established marketing briefs and campaign goals within specified timelines.
• Assist in the creation, production, and execution of campaign materials, which include landing pages, digital content, multimedia elements, and marketing collateral.
• Perform regular updates to web content on PLOS marketing platforms, adhering to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and digital best practices.
• Aid in the setup, execution, and ongoing management of display and other digital advertising initiatives.
• Oversee webinars, sponsorships, and other marketing-driven initiatives from initial brief to final delivery.
• Manage specific marketing projects and activities, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Contribute to larger, more intricate campaigns and projects alongside marketing specialists.
• Track and compile campaign and marketing performance data using established metrics and reporting tools.
• Organize PLOS participation at selected conferences and events, including managing logistics, materials, suppliers, deadlines, and budgets.
• Communicate with conference organizers, suppliers, and external partners.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications, Editorial, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure event activities align with objectives.
• Coordinate promotional materials, digital initiatives, and audience engagement before, during, and after events.
• Assess event activities and document outcomes and suggestions for improvements in the future.
• Proven experience in executing marketing campaigns, events, digital initiatives, or other multi-channel marketing projects.
• Solid understanding of digital marketing principles, including web content management, digital advertising, campaign tracking, and performance assessment.
• Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills, capable of managing several activities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Confident and articulate communicator capable of effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough quality assurance across marketing activities and assets.
• Familiarity with supplier management, budgeting, and event logistics.
• Ability to operate within established brand, accessibility, and digital standards while injecting creativity into marketing execution.
• Proactive problem-solving approach, adaptable to evolving priorities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative, yet able to take ownership of specific activities and projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
• Flexibility to support events beyond typical working hours when necessary.
• Ability to remain stationary at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Some flexibility to coordinate across different time zones.
• Experience with Google Ad Manager or similar digital advertising platforms is a plus.
• Interest or experience in multimedia and digital content creation is desirable.
