Marketing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical framework of marketing systems, encompassing tagging, tracking, and platform integrations across Digital Advertising, CRM, and Local SEO.

• Develop and troubleshoot tracking infrastructure to ensure teams can depend on precise data.

• Create, maintain, and audit Google Tag Manager containers for various client accounts.

• Execute conversion tracking setups for Google Ads, Meta, and Bing.

• Configure and uphold Meta event tracking for server-side events.

• Identify and rectify tagging inconsistencies, tracking gaps, and data quality challenges.

• Establish and manage CRM-to-ad-platform integrations to ensure accurate data flow of leads and sales in both directions.

• Oversee ad platform integrations, including call tracking and associated data sources.

• Collaborate with SEM/PPC, CRM, and Local SEO teams on attribution and reporting efforts.

• Audit and construct tracking infrastructure during the onboarding process of new clients.

• Conduct quality assurance on tracking implementations prior to campaign launches.

• Document tracking setups, integration configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Enhance and uphold best practices for tracking and configuration.

• Monitor updates to ad platform pixels, APIs, and privacy changes, and communicate their impacts to the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of direct experience in marketing technology.

• Practical experience in building and troubleshooting Google Tag Manager containers.

• Proven experience in implementing conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta, and Bing.

• Ability to diagnose tracking-related issues effectively.

• Familiarity with server-side tracking or Meta CAPI, or a strong eagerness to quickly develop proficiency.

• Experience with at least one CRM, such as HubSpot or Salesforce, and integrating CRM data with ad platforms.

• Capability to manage tracking across multiple client accounts within an agency setting.

• A troubleshooting-oriented mindset.

• A four-year degree is preferred, or a demonstrable track record of experience indicating capability.
