📋 Description

• Develop and uphold a comprehensive multi-channel content strategy that aligns with the company's priorities, audience needs, marketing campaigns, product launches, and overall business objectives.

• Take ownership of the editorial calendar for social media, newsletters, blog content, thought leadership pieces, and other marketing initiatives.

• Plan, create, and distribute the company newsletter.

• Identify opportunities to transform company expertise, customer successes, product developments, and industry trends into relevant content.

• Establish repeatable editorial processes to ensure timely content delivery.

• Manage Defense Unicorns’ presence across LinkedIn and X platforms.

• Plan, draft, schedule, publish, and optimize social media content.

• Collaborate with executives and subject-matter experts on thought-leadership materials.

• Monitor discussions, audience feedback, and platform trends.

• Track channel performance and enhance content topics, formats, timing, and distribution strategies.

• Write, edit, and publish both short- and long-form content, including blog posts, case studies, white papers, social media updates, newsletters, website content, and thought leadership articles.

• Conduct interviews with customers, partners, leaders, and technical specialists to create compelling narratives and simplify complex concepts.

• Repurpose content assets into formats suited for specific channels.

• Ensure content is accurate, valuable, suitable for the audience, and consistent with the brand.

• Edit and perform quality control on content contributed by the organization.

• Implement SEO and AEO best practices, optimizing headlines, metadata, structure, internal links, and calls to action.

• Collaborate with product marketing, demand generation, growth, sales, delivery, recruiting, and design teams.

• Communicate content plans, dependencies, risks, and outcomes effectively.

• Monitor reach, engagement, subscriber growth, website traffic, search visibility, conversions, and campaign performance.

• Generate reports, test content strategies, and refine approaches based on quantitative results and audience feedback.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, editorial management, communications, journalism, or a related discipline.

• An outstanding writer and editor with a portfolio showcasing strong short- and long-form work.

• Proven experience managing organic social media channels, especially LinkedIn and X.

• Experience in producing and overseeing an email newsletter or similar lifecycle-marketing program.

• Strong storytelling, copywriting, proofreading, and fact-checking abilities.

• Experience in developing editorial calendars and managing multiple content projects from conception to publication.

• Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, content distribution, and fundamental digital marketing principles.

• Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and marketing automation platforms.

• Proficient in using analytics to assess performance and suggest practical enhancements.

• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, capable of balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

• Sound editorial judgment, with an ability to ask insightful questions, identify the essence of a story, and determine when content is not yet ready for publication.

• Comfortable working asynchronously within a distributed team.

• Inquisitive about technical topics and eager to grasp the substance behind the narrative.
