Marketing Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive attribution and signals system, establishing yourself as the company expert who guides technical decisions and best practices throughout the organization.

• Develop and enhance attribution models (Appsflyer, GA4, custom server-side) to ensure they are accurate and dependable.

• Create and maintain server-to-server integrations with advertising networks (Meta, Google Ads, ASA, TikTok, Snapchat).

• Oversee monitoring, quality assurance, and troubleshooting of discrepancies between internal data and advertising platforms.

• Continuously enhance attribution precision and signal quality through custom pipelines, experimentation, and the monitoring and resolution of discrepancies.

• Direct the long-term development of the platform, making informed architectural choices and prioritization decisions that balance business impact, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of attribution and tracking methodologies (pixels, UTMs, ID-based matching, MMPs, SRN, SKAN, W2A, etc.).

• Prior experience in enriching and transmitting signals from mobile applications to Ad Networks to enhance campaign performance (Meta CAPI, TikTok CAPI, Google Ads API, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience with REST APIs, webhooks, API integrations, and serverless architectures.

• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Expertise in backend technologies such as TypeScript, Python, and Go.

• High level of ownership and initiative.

• Experience in fast-paced, product-oriented organizations, adept at balancing speed, scalability, and reliability in uncertain environments.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a knack for addressing complex technical issues.

• Attention to detail and a product-first approach, coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to work independently and take charge of projects.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing.
