This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the go-to-market (GTM) initiative, ensuring alignment with both the product roadmap and business objectives.
• Foster collaboration across Sales, Product, and Developer Relations teams.
• Guarantee that marketing initiatives contribute to measurable pipeline growth and revenue generation.
• Define and refine brand positioning and messaging targeted at infrastructure engineers, network operators, VPs of Infrastructure, and CTOs.
• Develop and implement demand-generation programs encompassing content marketing, SEO/SEM, email campaigns, paid media, and partner marketing.
• Expand developer and community marketing initiatives to engage open-source contributors and enhance community adoption.
• Collaborate with Developer Relations on events, webinars, content partnerships, and community-driven advocacy efforts.
• Oversee product marketing activities, including narrative development, launch strategies, and sales enablement resources.
• Build and scale the marketing team by recruiting talent, establishing structural organization, mentoring staff, and creating a culture of high performance.
• Manage the marketing budget, encompassing staffing, tools, agencies, branding, and various programs.
• Report directly to the COO while partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to facilitate market expansion and revenue growth.
• Demonstrated success as a marketing leader at the VP/CMO level within high-growth DevOps, infrastructure SaaS, or platform engineering firms.
• Comprehensive understanding of developer-led and product-led growth strategies, particularly in a commercial open-source setting.
• Proven experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for technical products aimed at mid-market and enterprise clients.
• Background in building and nurturing technical communities through CNCF, open-source ecosystems, or developer platforms.
• Outstanding storytelling capabilities that convert intricate technical concepts into engaging narratives.
• Strong experience in budget management across teams, tools, and initiatives.
• A hands-on, data-driven approach to operations, emphasizing scalable systems, processes, measurement, and optimization.
• Exceptional executive leadership and communication skills, including the ability to present to boards and represent the company externally.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in their country of residence without the need for visa sponsorship.
• Preferred qualifications include a technical background in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering; experience scaling a company from product-market fit to Series B and beyond; familiarity with open-source contributions or open governance; expertise in networking, infrastructure automation, or NetDevOps; and experience in building marketing teams from the ground up or through transformation.
