Market Intelligence & Strategy Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Perform in-depth market analysis of the FX/CFD landscape in India, encompassing client segments, trading behaviors, expectations for deposits and withdrawals, trust barriers, retention trends, and potential for growth.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, including how offshore brokers position themselves, acquire clients, utilize IB and affiliate networks, localize offerings, and convert market demand into revenue.

• Observe changes in the legal and operational framework affecting India, such as restrictions on resident participation in offshore leveraged forex and CFD activities, and interpret these changes into actionable business implications.

• Analyze the factors contributing to the success of specific competitors in India, focusing on advantages in product offerings, pricing strategies, payment experiences, speed, partner networks, local relevance, service models, or execution quality.

• Assess gaps in the company's current strategy for India and suggest practical enhancements across go-to-market strategies, channel mixes, partner models, customer journeys, and local operational support.

• Offer structured and commercially valuable recommendations to leadership regarding the prioritization of India, the approach to the market, and the necessary balance of HQ versus local ownership.

• Collaborate with regional and HQ stakeholders to transform market insights into actionable plans, operational priorities, and improved alignment among teams.

• Assist in the creation of practical frameworks, playbooks, and standard operating procedures that enhance decision-making and execution within the Indian market.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive professional experience, including at least 3 years of relevant experience in the Indian market within a CFD broker or a closely related trading/financial services organization.

• Extensive knowledge of the Indian market, including client behaviors, competitor strategies, IB and affiliate ecosystems, acquisition channels, and local commercial realities.

• A solid understanding of the legal and practical limitations surrounding FX/CFD activities in India, particularly the distinction between permitted exchange-traded activities and offshore leveraged offerings aimed at residents.

• Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous market inquiries into structured analyses, insightful conclusions, and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to challenge assumptions and influence market decisions with data-driven evidence.

• Experience working in a matrix environment across local and HQ teams is highly desirable.

• Previous experience within a CFD broker, multi-asset broker, fintech trading company, or a market intelligence/strategy role focused on India is strongly preferred.
