This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the architecture and design of an advanced competitive intelligence program, acting as the primary internal expert on competitive and market dynamics.
• Provide sales teams with effective strategies to counteract competitor positioning in a highly competitive landscape.
• Create protocols and rapid-response frameworks for assessing and mitigating competitive misinformation across go-to-market (GTM) channels.
• Design and scale evidence-based enablement frameworks and materials, such as predictive battlecards, to enhance the field's competitive stance.
• Guide the strategic direction of the Win/Loss program, identifying how internal and external data integrations can best enhance GTM decision-making.
• Examine current and prospective target markets, including Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and SWOT analyses.
• Develop strategies for increased integration of cross-functional capabilities, establishing formal intelligence-sharing networks with key internal stakeholders to influence functional priorities.
• Offer strategic advice to sales and sales engineering teams on effective competitive tactics.
• Create impactful competitive messaging for global sales and marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and field teams to refine competitive positioning and shape product development roadmaps.
• Represent Workiva at industry events and conferences, sharing insights on market conditions and emerging trends.
• Interact with clients and partners to influence decisions through timely and comprehensive competitive analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, product marketing, or closely related roles such as product management and sales.
• Expertise in shaping Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, approaches, and tactics.
• Outstanding communication skills with the capability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from end-users and buyers to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration (experience leading without direct authority is preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of competitive analysis frameworks, win/loss programs, and market intelligence tools, with a proven record of translating insights into strategic actions.
• Proven success in collaborating with and influencing cross-functional leadership teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, Enablement, and Customer Success.
• Established ability to gather, analyze, and leverage competitive insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Proficiency in competitive intelligence platforms, CRM, and analytics tools.
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time for company events and internal meetings.
