Market Development Engineer – Consumer & Industrial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identifies and targets prospective customers within designated market segments.

• Creates opportunities for growth in new business ventures.

• Oversees the internal new product development (NPD), testing, and computer-aided engineering, as well as external developments, to ensure project completion.

• Collaborates with new customers to identify potential applications and optimal Celanese material solutions.

• Partners with Account Managers at current customers to explore new applications and offer technical assistance as required.

• Provides necessary technical support to existing customers as needed.

• Facilitates Technical Exchanges with both new and existing customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related Technical Field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics or a related industry.

• Required experience in technical and business or market development.

• Capability to collaborate with customers to create tailored solutions.

• Develops in-depth knowledge of customers and market dynamics.

• Ability to interact, influence, and collaborate across various levels of the organization.

• Must be proactive in seeking out new customers/projects and devising strategies for identifying and targeting new clients and segment strategies.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
