This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Attain the necessary access and coverage decisions for BG tests by identifying, understanding, and addressing customer requirements while creating potential solutions that foster customer relationships.
• Achieve or surpass account objectives for BG's Northeast and Gulf regions.
• Expand the existing managed care customer base and increase the number of clients with in-network agreements.
• Formulate, assess, and suggest strategic initiatives alongside cross-functional BG teams to enhance shared business opportunities.
• Create account-specific strategies and tactical plans that align with business and client objectives.
• Provide external insights to guide BG's test access strategy.
• Establish both short-term and long-term strategic account plans for designated accounts.
• Present BG-sanctioned data and value propositions in compliance with all regulatory policies.
• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at customer organizations.
• Oversee contract execution, business evaluations, and performance monitoring for assigned accounts in conjunction with the internal market access team.
• Conduct regular business assessments to keep internal stakeholders informed about relevant updates.
• Uphold the company's mission and values while ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines.
• Follow the Code of Conduct described in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Over 8 years of direct experience with U.S. payer accounts, demonstrating a proven track record of meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Prior experience with various health plans; experience with independent physician/practice associations (IPAs) is preferred.
• Proven success in navigating coverage policies and finalizing contracts.
• Experience in reimbursement and managed care.
• Familiarity with NGS, molecular diagnostics, or genetics is a plus.
• Experience in biopharma account management is welcomed.
• Understanding of the U.S. payer payment system.
• Capability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with field teams and home office colleagues.
• Strong communication skills to effectively and persuasively discuss complex clinical and economic issues with payers and other customers.
• A clear commercial focus for influencing and negotiating with payer stakeholders across diverse testing and disease areas.
