Manufacturing Engineering Director

📋 Description

• Drive Global Process Standardization: Create and implement a unified global framework to standardize manufacturing, testing, and business processes across various international locations, consolidating existing regional documentation into a single engineering reference.

• Lead Lean & Continuous Improvement: Carry out global Value Stream Mapping (VSM) initiatives to pinpoint inefficiencies, develop and oversee a high-return on investment lean project pipeline, and foster a strong global Kaizen culture through Lean Six Sigma practices.

• Advance Automation & Industry 4.0: Identify significant opportunities to enhance manual workflows using Collaborative Robots (Cobots) and collaborate with Data Science teams to deploy Machine Learning models for predictive maintenance and yield optimization.

• Ensure Safety & Quality Compliance: Implement "Design for Safety" (DfS) protocols to decrease incident rates, design 1:1 component-level traceability frameworks to satisfy client audit demands, and ensure all engineering outputs conform to Customer Quality Agreements.


⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience in a High-Variation/High-Mix manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for a background in Tier 1 Contract Electronics Manufacturing.

• Expert-level understanding of Lean Manufacturing and the Theory of Constraints (Six Sigma Black Belt preferred), along with hands-on experience in deploying Cobots and machine learning sensors.

• A demonstrated history of managing remote teams across different international time zones (EMEA, AMER, APAC) and possessing the exceptional communication skills necessary to persuade regional site leaders to adopt global standards.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; an MBA or advanced degree in Operations Management is a considerable advantage.
