Manual Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documentation to grasp anticipated system behavior.

• Create and implement manual test cases, test scenarios, and testing plans.

• Conduct functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Identify, document, and monitor defects utilizing issue tracking systems.

• Verify defect resolutions and ensure issues are addressed before release.

• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve challenges.

• Ensure that applications fulfill usability and business criteria.

• Keep thorough documentation of testing activities, outcomes, and defects.

• Assist in the continuous enhancement of testing processes and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or software testing.

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and life cycles (SDLC/STLC).

• Proficient in writing and executing test cases and test plans.

• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum settings.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in supporting federal government contracts or regulated environments (preferred).

• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira or Confluence (preferred).

• Basic understanding of APIs and backend systems (preferred).

• Exposure to test automation concepts or tools (preferred).

• Experience with usability or accessibility testing (preferred).

• Must have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
