Managing Technical Consultant, Landscape Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop planting designs, site layouts, and detailed sheets, which include landscape plans, lighting plans, and landscape management strategies.

• Create nature-based solutions for the rehabilitation and repurposing of brownfield locations.

• Collaborate with visual simulation specialists to generate legally defensible project visualizations featuring precise vegetation representations.

• Contribute to Visual Impact Assessments (VIAs) and various technical documentation.

• Coordinate GIS, visual simulation, and multidisciplinary technical teams effectively.

• Provide guidance to clients, foresee potential challenges, and facilitate project progress.

• Lead and assist in environmental impact evaluations, land use planning, facility location, and permitting processes for extensive energy and infrastructure initiatives.

• Create, oversee, and assess VIAs and associated technical outputs.

• Ensure the accuracy of multidisciplinary work and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Act as task manager or project manager, responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.

• Mentor technical personnel and promote a cooperative project atmosphere.

• Conduct site inspections and maintain direct communication with clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Landscape Architect.

• Digital portfolio accessible for review through a website, shared drive, or similar means.

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.

• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in landscape architecture.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software applications.

• Demonstrated ability to manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and client relations successfully.

• Valid driver's license and/or capability to operate a company vehicle.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to various client sites over a wide geographical area.

• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

• Strong knowledge of horticulture is preferred.

• Familiarity with GIS/Global Mapper, Rhino, 3DS Max, or 3D rendering applications is preferred.

• Additional experience in planning, graphic design, and/or photography is preferred.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
